B|O|S, a leading Bay Area independent wealth management firm, is pleased to announce that Principal, Jennifer Ellison, CFA, was placed #8 by Working Mother on their 2019 Top Wealth Advisor Moms list. This is the third consecutive year that Jennifer has been placed on the list, which spotlights 400 mothers working in wealth management each year.
Ellison joined B|O|S in 2001 and manages the firm’s Silicon Valley office. She not only works with many of the firm’s individual clients, but also directly manages a number of the company’s largest institutional endowment and foundation client relationships. Before joining B|O|S, she served as a financial consultant for five years with Merrill Lynch in Seattle, and two years at an independent firm where she was responsible for developing and implementing the firm’s investment strategy. Ellison lives in Burlingame, Calif. with her husband and two sons. She earned her BA degree in business administration from Seattle University.
SHOOK Research considered wealth advisors who are mothers with at least one child living at home and under the age of 18. Ranking algorithm is based on qualitative measures derived from telephone and in-person interviews and surveys: service models, investing process, client retention, industry experience, review of compliance records, firm nominations, etc.; and quantitative criteria, such as assets under management and revenue generated for their firms. Investment performance is not a criterion because client objectives and risk tolerances vary, and advisors rarely have audited performance reports.
Rankings are based on the opinions of SHOOK Research LLC. Neither SHOOK nor Working Mother receives compensation from the advisors or their firms in exchange for placement on a ranking.
